French Egyptologist Christiane Desroches-Noblecourt dies

One of the many articles about this amazing woman published on the occasion of her death at the age of 97: The world owes her a debt of gratitude for the development of the campaign to salvage many of the monuments which would have been swallowed up by the waters of Lake Nasser back in the 1960s when the Aswan Dam was built. She will be missed!
