Tutankh-Obama

I stumbled across this great sign hanging on a shop display wall while wandering through Islamic Cairo in early March. Most Egyptians that I have met are very positive about our President.

    Hello, Marie. I am enjoying your Luxor posts very much. And being an ice cream fan, I really could go for that banana split just about N O W !
    I am a member of ARCE in Orange County, L.A., CA. and I studied Egyptology with Alexander Badawy, Miriam Lichtheim and John Callender at UCLA. After being a writer and illustrator for years and teaching at UCLA, I'm back on the trail of where I left off with my Egyptian studies. Hurray!
    Just got back from Egypt last month, too, and it was exhillarating! Hope I get to meet you on another trip!
